Noise when your Air Conditioner unit turns on?

Unraveled fan belts or bad bearings in your Air Conditioner motor can commonly cause you to hear a loud winding wail sound during AC use. A CoolQuest technician servicing Hernando, Pasco, Pinellas or Hillsborough County, may need to replace the motor or simply lubricate the bearings. Frozen Coils can also pose an issue but are not an emergency.

Ice can hinder the units operation, limiting the mix of Freon and air. Heating elements reduce this issue, yet at times the unit cannot cycle quickly enough. A simple calibration test can handle this issue easily. If you’re noticing a water leak in your house this could be due to your AC. Leaking from an AC will cause mold, mildew, and significant water damage. If your home Air Conditioning system is not draining correctly a common problem is the AC’s condensation pan may be rusted or damaged. If it isn’t the pan a clog in the drain itself may have manifested preventing the water from escaping to the outside leading into an in-house overflow.
